A short circular walk from The Plough through the quiet lanes and footpaths around Ley Green and Austage End. With 90 metres of gentle elevation, this is an easy route that takes in the open countryside north of Kings Walden. Perfect for an after-lunch walk before heading back to the pub.

The longer route. This circular walk takes you from The Plough through Ley Green, out across open farmland to the village of Preston and past Temple Dinsley, before looping back to Kings Walden. Rolling Hertfordshire countryside throughout, with 154 metres of elevation across the route. Allow a full afternoon and come back ready for something from the kitchen.

A gentle circular walk around the Kings Walden Estate and Kingswalden Park Deer Park. Starting from Ley Green, the route takes you through Kings Walden village and around the edge of the deer park before returning to the pub. Quiet, flat, and suitable for all abilities. The perfect short walk to stretch your legs.
