What’s on in March?

Hello friends of The Plough!

 

We’ve got a brilliant line-up of events coming up over the next few weeks - from Mother's Day toSix Nations rugby and hearty food to creative workshops and relaxed acoustic sessions.

 

Here’s what’s coming up…

Mother’s Day

Celebrate Mother’s Day at The Plough with a weekend full of special treats. On the 12th, surprise her with a beautiful Mother’s Day bouquet, on the 14th indulge in a delightful Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea, and on the 15th gather the family for a traditional Mother’s Day roast with all the trimmings. Make it a weekend to remember and show Mum just how much she means to you.

The 2026 Guinness Men's Six Nations

We’ve got the Guinness cold, and the tv is working (yes - we’ve tested it)

Join us for the Guinness Six Nations - we are showing all the England games:

  • Friday 6th of March - Ireland vs Wales (20:10)

  • Saturday 7th of March - Scotland vs France (14:10) & Italy vs England (16:40)

  • ​Saturday 14th of March - Ireland vs Scotland (14:10) & Wales vs Italy (16:40) & France vs England (20:10)

Bring the family, or bring some friends, the six nations is best watched live in the stadium, and failing that, in front of a toasty pub fire with a cracking pint of beer to pair.

Tea on the Tailgate - Saturday 7th March @ 10am

Meet at The Plough, 10am till 1pm for brekkie, baps and hot snacks.

Cheltenham - 13th of March

Join us at The Plough for all the excitement of the Cheltenham Races from 13th March. Catch every race live, take part in our sweepstakes for a bit of friendly competition, and enjoy a delicious lunch while you soak up the atmosphere. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the thrills of Cheltenham with great food, drinks and company.

 Monthly Supper Club - St Patrick's Day - 17th of March

Enjoy a special Irish-inspired menu featuring Irish potato soup with leek oil and soda bread, boxty potato cake with hot smoked salmon and sour cream, Guinness-braised beef short rib with colcannon mash, roasted carrot and stout gravy, or roasted cod loin with stout and pearl barley stew and roasted carrot, followed by Irish coffee tiramisu to finish.

Craft & Sip Night - Wednesday 18th March

 

A creative and sociable evening where crafting meets cocktails (or a good glass of wine). Bring your creativity, enjoy a drink, and relax midweek in good company.

NEW: Monthly Sunday Lunch - Sunday 29th March

Our classic Sunday roast is served with all the trimmings - comforting, hearty, and best enjoyed with friends or family. Booking is essential to avoid disappointment - it’s the perfect way to spend your Sunday! (children’s meals available)

 Fish & Chip Night - Friday 27th March

.A classic pub favourite. Treat yourself to some lovely comfort food at its best! Warm up with a hearty homemade Fish and chips at The Plough.  Or you can pre-order and take away as usual, freshly cooked and veggie options available - just order ahead or pop in grab a pint and wait !

 Live Music & 5k mud slog! - 28th of March

Join us on 28th March  for a fantastic day of live music & a 5k mud slog in aid of the Garden House Hospice. Gather your friends for a good cause and make it a day to remember.

 

And don’t forget the Breakfast classics meet from 10am!
